Foreign currency found at HHI middle school
According to a Sheriff’s Department press release, on August 29 at 2:00 p.m. the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Hilton Head Middle School in reference to a student who was in possession of foreign currency that did not belong to the student.
The currency, consisting of paper currency and foreign coins from Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Vietnam and other countries, was collected and placed into the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office evidence locker.
The juvenile stated that the money was found on August 16 near Sandalwood and Hilton Head Gardens on Hilton Head Island.
