Two swimmers drown at Hunting Island

Rescue personnel have reported to The Beaufort Tribune that two people drowned at Hunting Island State Park on Saturday, September 4. Rescuers recovered one body, but the other has not been found.

Strong rip tides along the beach may be the cause of the drownings.
