Parish Church of St. Helena: Nearly new clothing sale

    Parish Church of St. Helena

    Nearly new clothing sale

The annual nearly new clothing sale will be held three days next week at the the Parish Hall of the Episcopal Parish Church of St. Helena, 507 Newcastle Street, Beaufort.

The sale will take place Thursday Aug 19, 10 am-5 pm, Friday, Aug 20, 10 am-7 pm, and Saturday Aug 21, 9 am-2 pm. Quality gently used clothing will be available for the whole family at bargain prices.

This event is presented each year by the Episcopal Church women. It takes a year for them to prepare for the sale by collecting clothes, sorting them, hanging them in preparation for the few days before the sale when all the racks are placed in the Parish Hall and the clothes are brought out and displayed.

The racks, hangars and clothes are transported usually by people with trucks. Men and women volunteers enjoy the fellowship that the event provides. The monies collected are used exclusively for outreach programs primarily in the community and also some for churches abroad.
