Twenty-seven year old Bluffton woman missing after trip to Charleston
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Bluffton woman reported missing after failing to return from a trip to Charleston, according to a press release.
Twenty-seven year-old Alexis Lukaitis was reported missing yesterday by her fiancé, 32-year-old Michael Bartley, after he became concerned that she never returned home from what was expected to be a brief visit to Charleston.
Bartley said that Lukaitis had left to take a friend to Charleston at 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, August 8. At approximately 7:45 p.m., Bartley said that he spoke to Lukaitis by phone and that she told him she’d be home in about an hour. As of 9:00 a.m. Monday morning, August 9, Lukaitis had not yet returned and after repeated attempts to reach her by phone which was never answered, Bartley contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report her missing.
Lukaitis is a white female, approximately 5’02”, 105 lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a butterfly tattoo on her lower back and a moon tattoo on her right hip. She was last seen driving a white 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix bearing SC license plate FNY-718.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Sgt. T. Calhoun at 843-255-3409 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
