Ongoing DTF investigation yields three more arrests
On Thursday, July 29, members of the Beaufort/Jasper Multi-Agency Drug Task Force (DTF) arrested three individuals for numerous drug offenses as a result of an ongoing drug investigation according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department press release.
Over the course of the past month, a drug investigation was initiated into Darien L. Johnson, who was suspected of selling illegal drugs from an apartment at 400 William Hilton Parkway (unit #20) on Hilton Head Island. During this investigation, investigators conducted several controlled purchases of illegal drugs to include cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy (MDMA). As a result of these purchases, a search warrant was obtained for the residence.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. Thursday night, July 29, DTF members executed this search warrant, where contact was made with three suspects. Search of the residence pursuant to the warrant yielded the seizure of quantities of crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy (MDMA).
This investigation continues, with arrests of additional suspects anticipated.
