Greenwood doctor charged with falsifying records bond reduced
Circuit court reduced the bond for a Greenwood doctor charged with falsifying patient records from $200,000 to $25,000 on Thursday, July 22.
Dr. Charles Franklin Bruyere, 57, of 222 W. Durst Avenue is facing 20 counts of falsification of controlled substance records. Bruyere had been in the Greenwood County Detention Center since he was arrested on July 12, but was released after posting the bond.
Bruyere’s, charges arise from a Department of Environmental Health and Environmental Control investigation finding him responsible for patient file notations and written prescriptions during a time he was not even in the country. Bruyere has been in practice in Greenwood for 13 years.
