The Beaufort Tribune takes off like a rocket
Trib takes almost 50,000 “hits” in first 10 days
Beaufort, May 3, 2009. Individual on-line views, called “hits”, of The Beaufort Tribune’s on-line newspaper approached 50,000 in the first 10 days of full operation at the end of April, according to the digital hit counter that records every transaction.
“The start of our commercial on-line venture could not have come at a more propitious time for us,” stated George Trask, editor and publisher. “The stars were aligned to put us fully on-line on the very day Rhyan Mazur went public with her compelling story of the brutal, bloody assault on her body. She asked us to tell the world what happened to her on the early morning of her wedding day, and we were ready, willing and happy to comply.”
