Support Air Station Alternative 3
The mayor, city council, politicians and chamber of commerce leadership in particular are taking a passive role in accepting and supporting the Navy’s recommendation of Alternative 1 for the Air Station expansion.
According to the Navy’s draft Environmental Impact Study, Alternative 3 provides significantly greater long term economic impact to Beaufort while at the same time minimizing the potential noise frequency levels. I urge the small business members who primarily comprise the chamber’s membership to take a more proactive role in supporting Alternative 3. It provides job creation while maintaining a healthy quality of life for our Beaufort citizens.
