    Sunrise over our sea islands

    Friday, July 2, 2010

The sky was spattered with high clouds to the east and the sun painted them from lavender to gold as it came up. Enjoy more of our sunrise photos by Jack Howison.

    1. I’ve lived here all but the first six months of my 56 years. I’m one year older than the Beaufort Water Festival and I’ve seen a lot of gorgeous designs on the official t-shirts commemorating the fete; however, I have to say that with all the fabulous, local artists in the Lowcountry (including my husband and mother) that all this year’s committee could come up with is a bunch of fireworks by an out-of-state artist is ATROCIOUS. Nothing original, nothing indicative of this gorgeous part of the country, the people, the water activities, Lowcountry Supper, etc. How disappointing! Way to go. NOT!
