Accused embezzler’s bond: $250,000
Casaundra White, the accused embezzler of $210,012.44 in county funds during her employment at the Beaufort County Treasurer’s Office, faces bond of $250,000 as set by magistrate Darlene Smith at the bond hearing Thursday morning, May 13.
White was arrested by investigators Wednesday morning, May 12, at her home in Yemassee on six counts of Embezzlement and five counts of Conspiracy, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office news release. White is accused of stealing $210,012.44 in funds during her employment at the Treasurer’s Office.
The 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office intends to present White’s case to the Beaufort County Grand Jury on May 27 for indictments, according to Daniel Brownstein, the solicitor’s communications director.
