Beaufort’s St. Helena preschool & kindergarten now enrolling for 2010-2011 school year
St. Helena Preschool, located in downtown Beaufort, is now enrolling for its 2010-1011 school year. This will be the second year a Kindergarten program will be offered.
Joanne Sinisi, who has a master’s degree in Elementary Education from St. John’s University in New York, will again be the lead teacher in the Kindergarten program. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has taught at the k-5 level in Connecticut public school systems as well as first and second grades in the public and private school systems in New York. With a curriculum that is Trivium based, the study of subjects is approached in a way that fits the natural learning patterns of a child’s cognitive development.
Teachers in the 2-year-old through 4-year-old classes have solid academic backgrounds and experience and are dedicated to nurturing individual children to develop spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
“We feel we offer an academic ministry to our community,” said Preschool Director Tom Pickering. “Our staff are highly trained and motivated to offer a classical Christian academic education.”
As a ministry of the Parish Church of St. Helena, 505 Church St in Beaufort, SC, the Preschool serves children ages two years through kindergarten. For more information, contact Tom Pickering, Preschool Director, at 843-522-1712 or visit www.sthelenas1712.org.
