Press release: Sheriff’s Office working to identify Huddle House armed robbery suspect
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the public in identifying the suspect responsible for the armed robbery of the Lady’s Island Huddle House on December 22, 2009.
At approximately 10:15 p.m. on December 22, a young black male entered the restaurant and placed an order “to go.” The suspect exited the restaurant then returned moments later where he presented a handgun and demanded money from restaurant employees. After removing an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, the suspect fled the restaurant.
On the way out, the suspect also grabbed a purse from a customer seated near the front door. No employees or patrons were injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a young black male between the ages of 16-19, approximately 5’07″-5’09″ in height, approximately 150-160 lbs, with a medium style hair cut, wearing a brown or black jacket, a blue shirt, blue jeans, and brown boots.
