    The Beaufort Tribune is pleased to announce that we have chosen Dr. Robert H. Moore as our national political columnist. A resident of the Washington DC area, Robert Moore is a writer of thoughtful, insightful commentary on the national and world scene, widely published in print and online. He has gained increasing prominence in recent years as a political commentator without an axe to grind, someone who tells it like it is without trying to twist the reader into an ideological viewpoint.

    Robert H. Moore is a graduate of Davidson College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served on the West Point faculty as an Army captain and was a staff consultant to the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee and various members of Congress. He has taught at the Universities of Wisconsin and Maryland as well as worked in financial services in Washington and New York. He is coauthor of the award-winning books “Spreading The Risks” and “School for Soldiers: West Point and the Profession of Arms”. He resides in the Washington DC area.

    Robert Moore’s first column in The Beaufort Tribune will appear in our Sunday edition tomorrow.
