Traffic delays anticipated on SC 802 at Lady’s Island & Shell Point
Traffic delays anticipated on SC 802 today until Sunday
Sanders Brothers Construction Company will be conducting flagging operations this week on SC 802 while crews work on the highway.
Flagging is scheduled from 7 pm Thursday until 6 am Friday on Lady’s Island near Ferry Road so crews can install a road crossing.
A detour is planned in the Shell Point area between Baynard Drive and Cleveland Drive beginning at 9 am Friday until 6 am Sunday. This will allow crews to install multiple road crossings along SC 802.
The work is part of the SC 802 road widening and improvement project. It is one of ten highway projects approved by voters for sales tax funding and includes a new bridge span adjacent to the McTeer Bridge across Beaufort River.
