    Bojangles restaurant robbed at gunpoint

    Shortly after midnight Saturday morning Beaufort police officers were called to Bojangles restaurant, 109 Robert Smalls Parkway, in response to a reported freshly committed armed robbery. Witnesses told the officers that two masked subjects armed with handguns accosted an employee who was emptying trash and forced him into the back door of the business.

    According to the report, once inside one of the subjects forced the manager to provide them with money from the safe while holding him at gunpoint. The other subject ordered the other employees into the meat freezer where they remained until the incident concluded.

    No one was injured in the incident and the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

    The suspects are described as two African-American males dressed in dark clothing and wearing ski masks. According to the report, one of the subjects had a darker complexion than the other. Both were armed with handguns. They fled the area in a newer model Ford F-150 pick up truck white or light gray in color.
