Keyserling thanks for Beaufort’s Preserve America designation
In an email message directed far and wide, Beaufort Mayor Billy Keyserling on Friday publicly thanked the persons responsible for the city’s designation by The White House as a Preserve America Community and singled out The Beaufort Tribune to thank for its efforts to publicize the acheivement.
“Thanks for the efforts of Elizabeth Gibson Obrien, who prepared City of Beaufort’s application to become designated a Preserve American Community,” Mayor Keyserling said.
“Thanks also to Historic Beaufort Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Operation Good Neighbor, Council members Mike Sutton and Donnie Beer, The NW Quadrant Task Force and all of the neighborhood associations, and many others who’ve work tirelessly over the years to help Beaufort preserve its historic hometown character while growing for the future.”
“And finally thanks to The Beaufort Tribune for the news account which it published about this important honor of our community.”
