Traffic delays ahead this week

    Traffic delays ahead this week

Sanders Brothers Construction Company will conduct flagging operations today and tomorrow in the Shell Point/Burton area on SC 802 between Grant Street and the intersection of 802 and SC 280.

Sanders Brothers will also conduct flagging operations on Lady’s Island on SC 802 between SC 21 and the McTeer Bridge on Thursday. The operations will begin at 9 a.m. and end by 4 p.m. all three days and are necessary for full-depth patching within the roadway.

The company has been hired by Beaufort County to widen and make safety improvements to 802 and to construct a new bridge parallel to the McTeer Bridge across the Beaufort River. The project is one of ten highway projects funded by a 1% penny sales tax approved by voters in 2006.

For a complete review of this and other Beaufort County transportation projects, visit the “HWY Projects” tab on the home page of the Beaufort County website, www.bcgov.net.
