Man covers face with T-shirt, robs check-cashing store on Robert Smalls Parkway
Man robs check-cashing store on Robert Smalls Pkwy
A man with a T-shirt covering his face entered the Check for Cash store at 11 Robert Smalls Parkway, Beaufort, around mid-day Saturday, pointed a hand gun at the clerk, and demanded money, according to a report from Chief Matthew Clancy of the Beaufort Police Department. The clerk complied by handing over the money. The robber fled with the stolen money.
City police officers and sheriff’s deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. He is described as an African-American man wearing a light colored polo-type shirt with horizontal stripes on it. He had on a T-shirt under the other shirt that he pulled up over his face.
No injuries were reported.
